Day 195 : Summary
No workout for Halloween…going to enjoy some time with the family and get some rest.

Headed out for a 3 mile run tonight and I ended up running 5 miles. The temperature was nice, but it was pretty damp out there. It actually made for a nice run.
After 3 miles, I was just feeling good and asked myself if going further would be pushing it. Since I was feeling great, I decided to keep going. That will probably be my last run of that distance. Getting too close to race day!
No workout tonight since we were broadcasting for Triathlete.FM live at the Big Peach Running Co. We interviewed the founder of the company and man, talk about an athlete! This guy is an ultra-marathoner and has finished some amazing races.

Tonight’s workout was a mixed bag of stuff. Did a short run on the treadmill, then did some core stuff and then finished up with some upper stuff that simulated a swimming workout.
Took the night off to have some family time. Made paper mache pumpkins with the kids that we’re going to turn into pinatas. Played some Wii with Dawn and she kicked my butt as usual.
It looks like I am all set for the trip to Florida with the exception of getting my bike to All3Sports for a final checkup/tune up. Probably run it over tomorrow so I can get some ride time with it well in advance of event.
Just some stretching and a little core workout today. Holding a plank position for 2 mins at a time works quite well.
Had a little wave of worry wash over me today (no pun intended), mostly about the swim. I am not worried from a fitness standpoint, just concerned about the things I can’t control: weather, waves, other people…sharks.
Tonight’s workout was a solid hour of cycling for 18 miles. I think my legs are good to go, just getting a little worried about the swim. Haven’t done any swimming since the half at Augusta.
I will need to make it to the lake at least once before IMFL just to ensure my timing and pace is good.
A pretty good week considering how busy I was and that I was out of town. On the home stretch!
Good run tonight. It was a little cold, but that was quickly remedied after about 15 minutes into the run. Just a short 5k, but I think that is about what I need to be doing at this point. IMFL is a mere 2 weeks away!
Had ever intention of doing a workout tonight but a late work night ruined that idea. Wanted to spend some time with the family since I have been away from home for most of the week. Not worried…if I am not ready for IMFL now, 2 weeks isn’t going to get me there.
